About Us

Pleasant Valley Ranch started in 2006 on 73 acres near Clearwater, Idaho with four generations of family and a community of people working together. We’ve been passionate about natural health products, growing and sourcing organic, non-GMO, agriculture products, and promoting sustainable farming practices.

Our Goal

Our goal is to have a larger and longer-lasting effect on our world than simply running a farm selling products and fresh healthy food. We want to move beyond the self-interested isolation of private lives and beyond the superficial social contacts that pass for “relationships.” The biblical ideal of community challenges us to commit to a life together in real relationships.

We know all too well that maturity takes time. We know less well that it also takes each other. It’s a process revealed in the “each other” language of the New Testament: Love, forgive, and regard each other more highly than yourselves. Teach and correct each other, encourage each other, pray for each other, and bear each other’s burdens. Be friends with one another, kind, compassionate, and generous in hospitality. Serve one another and submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. This list just scratches the surface, but it is enough to remind us that we need each other.

Avoiding community will deprive us of one of God’s greatest gifts. Community is from the world as God wants it to be. It is the gift of a rich and challenging life together that we need and can receive with joy.

We will make mistakes in our efforts, but we commit to acknowledging mistakes, reflecting on improvements, and trying again. Each mistake is a teachable moment.

“Let him who cannot be alone beware of community… Let him who is not in community, beware of being alone… Each by itself has profound perils and pitfalls. One who wants fellowship without solitude plunges into the void of words and feelings, and the one who seeks solitude without fellowship perishes in the abyss of vanity, self-infatuation and despair.”

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
